Housing Health and Safety Business Partner Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Housing Health and Safety Business Partner Specialist to join our team at Brackenberry Ltd. The successful candidate will work closely with a Local Authority in Lewisham to assist with the appointment of a Housing Health & Safety Business Partner on a 2.5-month contract, with a high likelihood of extension at the client's discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
- To anticipate and address requirements for developments in Health Safety Statutory Compliance and Welfare practices to meet changing needs within the Council or in response to legal and legislative changes, working together with other Health & Safety Business Partners and the Council's Corporate Health & Safety Team.
- To contribute to the successful development and implementation of Health Safety Statutory Compliance policies, strategies, practices, systems, performance standards, and targets across the Council.
- To provide expert advice on good practice and lead on introducing new systems and procedures where necessary, ensuring the effective use of these across the Council.
- To contribute towards the ongoing review of the effectiveness of the whole health and safety management system across the Council.
- To evaluate, appraise, and review Health & Safety policies, strategies, practices, systems, performance standards, and targets, as well as specific initiatives undertaken.
Requirements:
- A deep understanding of the Health Safety and Welfare Legal and Statutory requirements, responsibilities, and obligations of a large, diverse, and complex organization.
- Proven experience in a similar health and safety role from similar sectors, such as Public Sector or Government Facilities.

- The successful candidate should be available to work immediately or at short notice.
- The candidate should have the right to work in the U.K.
