We are seeking a skilled Health and Safety Business Partner to join our team at Brackenberry Ltd on a 2.5 month contract, with a high likelihood of extension. The successful candidate will work closely with a Local Authority in Lewisham to assist with the appointment of a Housing Health & Safety Business Partner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To anticipate and address the evolving needs of the Council's Health Safety and Welfare practices, ensuring compliance with changing legal and legislative requirements.
  • To contribute to the development and implementation of Health Safety Statutory Compliance policies, strategies, practices, systems, performance standards, and targets across the Council.
  • To provide expert advice on best practices and lead the introduction of new systems and procedures, ensuring effective use across the Council.
  • To collaborate with the Council's Corporate Health & Safety Team to review and improve the overall health and safety management system.
  • To evaluate, appraise, and review Health & Safety policies, strategies, practices, systems, performance standards, and targets, as well as specific initiatives undertaken.

Requirements:

  • Proven understanding of Health Safety and Welfare legal and statutory requirements, responsibilities, and obligations in a large, diverse, and complex organization.
  • Experience in a similar health and safety role from similar sectors, such as Public Sector or Government Facilities.

Important Notes:

  • The successful candidate must be available to start immediately or at short notice.
  • The candidate must have the right to work in the UK.
