Job Overview

Baines Simmons is seeking a Senior Account Manager to spearhead growth initiatives and actively enhance our global brand presence. Our organization specializes in aviation safety training, providing a comprehensive range of courses that serve as the primary entry point for clients to access our offerings. The successful candidate will collaborate within an account management team, assisting clients in determining optimal solutions tailored to their requirements across Key Accounts and a designated territory aimed at increasing revenue and fostering long-term partnerships.

This role not only involves managing a personal territory but also leading the Academy team on pivotal projects such as driving Partner Plus sales, advancing Key Account strategies, and following up on marketing campaigns. Both personal and team targets will be integral to this position.

The Business Development and Sales division encompasses three primary sectors: Academy training, In-company training, and Consultancy and Large Programmes (C&LP). This position is a vital part of the Academy training team.

The Senior Account Manager will report directly to the Head of Sales and Business Development while overseeing a small team of Account Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet personal sales objectives and exemplify high performance through consistent activity metrics such as call volumes, engagement duration, and conversion rates.
  • Assist the Academy team in achieving their individual goals by identifying sales opportunities, maximizing course participation, and proactively managing the territory to generate new business leads and nurture existing accounts.
  • Prepare weekly forecasts for the Academy's performance.
  • Monitor team performance and collaborate with each KAM on key performance indicators and developmental areas.
  • Professionally manage incoming Academy training inquiries (via web, email, phone, referrals) within established service level agreements.
  • Ensure all inquiries are recorded in our customer relationship management system.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team on targeted campaigns to enhance course offerings.
  • Work alongside consultants and the Product team to provide clients with the most suitable training solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with our business terms and secure advance payments for course attendance.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of proven sales experience.
  • Experience in a consultative sales environment is preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience in a sales team is advantageous but not mandatory. Experience in aviation is beneficial but not required as training will be provided.
