Job Title: Director - Implementation and Project Management

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our digital project management team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of digital projects across our Trusts.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage the delivery of digital projects, including specification, development, procurement, implementation, and transition to business as usual support.
  • Ensure all projects are managed and monitored in accordance with our project governance processes and principles, and are delivered on time, within budget, and to the agreed specification, scope, and quality.
  • Take remedial action where there are variances in project delivery against plan and scope.
  • Produce consistent and accurate project reporting, detailed project plans, manage issues and risks, and escalate as appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Qualified PRINCE 2 Foundation
  • Evidence of academic achievement, preferably to degree level or equivalent related subject
Experience:
  • 2 years experience managing projects or working within an NHS project management environment
  • Evidence of achievements in a complex environment, including a successful track record of delivering against targets
  • Evidence of successful project management experience
  • Experience in a relevant healthcare setting
  • Using and implementing hospital patient administration and/or clinical systems
  • Experience of working with clinical teams
  • Experience of using benefits and change processes
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of the NHS
  • An understanding of change management principles
  • Negotiating and influencing skills
  • Involvement with NHS systems projects
  • Knowledge of the NHS Plan
