Position Overview
This role is integral to our UK Manufacturing Finance team, covering a maternity leave vacancy. You will oversee the preparation of monthly financial reports while actively engaging in daily accounting functions to ensure exemplary service across the organization. Your focus will be on maintaining strong financial controls and delivering timely management accounts to the Group Finance team.

The ideal candidate will have a background in finance, either qualified AAT or pursuing CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualifications. Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly management accounts and submission to Group Finance, including the Capex schedule.
  • Contribute to management accounts commentary, demonstrating a clear understanding of variances and overall business performance.
  • Participate in the quarterly forecasting process.
  • Review monthly expenditures and manage accruals and prepayments, particularly for staff costs.
  • Approve weekly payment runs and proforma payments, ensuring proper segregation of duties.
  • Collaborate with budget holders to accurately reflect their operational plans financially.
  • Oversee intercompany transactions between UK entities.
  • Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and accurate on a monthly basis.
  • Assist in the preparation for audits and tax computations, including year-end stock counts and reviewing financial transactions for precise cost allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with National Statistics and other governmental reporting deadlines.
  • Support the management of the finance team and uphold strong controls within the management accounts process.
  • Provide ad hoc management information to business and manufacturing managers as needed.


Required Skills and Expertise
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance role, with a hands-on and enthusiastic approach.
  • Strong numerical skills and a solid understanding of all components of the Profit and Loss statement.
  • Proficient in Excel and IT systems, including Google Suite, with experience in functions such as VLookUps and Pivot Tables.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with both financial and non-financial personnel.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Therefore, QAD, ABBYY, Xero, Zahara, and Rydoo is advantageous.
  • A genuine interest in Lush's ethics and values, with a proactive approach to understanding and improving financial processes.
