Job Summary:

Brighterkind is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Unit Lead to join our team. As a Unit Lead, you will be responsible for managing the unit and leading your team to deliver exceptional care to residents and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire the team to deliver high-quality care and services that promote choice and independence for residents.
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records in accordance with Brighterkind's policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all aspects of resident experience are positive, from admission to discharge, including psychological considerations, safe custody of property, pain management, and dignity.
  • Regularly engage with residents, relatives, visitors, and colleagues to gather feedback and improve the quality of life and level of service provided.
  • In the absence of the Home Manager, assist in the overall management of the Home as required.
  • Under the supervision of the Home Manager, be responsible for the Unit staffing rota, ensuring staffing levels are safe and appropriate to residents' needs and dependency, with the correct skill mix.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of accidents and incidents, making recommendations based on results and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Experience in working in the healthcare sector, preferably in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality care and services.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and make recommendations.
