About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Personal Tax team as a Policy Adviser. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the UK's personal tax policy, working closely with senior officials and ministers to deliver high-quality policy solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on setting income tax rates and thresholds and the Personal Allowance.
  • Own the branch's work on policy development of any explorations into the income tax system and simplification, including on legislation and implementation.
  • Lead on the taxation of property income, including how it interacts with homeownership and wider simplification agendas.
About You

We are looking for a talented individual with strong problem-solving skills, the ability to establish positive relationships with others, and the drive to structure, plan and prioritise a full workload across a multifaceted portfolio. You will need to demonstrate a range of skills, including the ability to facilitate discussions, acknowledge different perspectives, and deliver high-quality work.
