Position Overview

The Fleet Operations Team at North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust is crucial in providing support to our frontline healthcare professionals in the administration and management of logistical operations, ensuring the optimal availability of the organization's vehicle fleet.

The role of the Fleet Operations Coordinator, alongside fellow team members, encompasses the management of the Reception Office at the Regional Logistics Centre and executing tasks across various operational streams, including insurance management, accident resolution, fuel oversight, penalty processing, inventory management, and all related vehicle documentation.

As a vital team member, you will be expected to engage in ongoing personal development, which includes participating in training sessions and completing necessary courses.

You will also be responsible for attending meetings and documenting data, minutes, and information that support both management information systems and dashboards.

Meetings will primarily occur via virtual platforms, but there will be occasions requiring in-person attendance across the region, both within the organization and with key external stakeholders as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with meticulous attention to detail, are essential for this position, as is the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Fostering effective team collaboration, prioritizing tasks within operational streams, and supporting colleagues with their deliverables as needed are critical components of this role.

Adherence to established protocols and the use of standard operating procedures is required.

Experience with computer systems, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with IT applications, web-based platforms, and computerized systems for fleet management is necessary.

Capability to efficiently manage all aspects of the Reception Office environment, including resource utilization and reordering, is expected.

Regular participation in meetings, both internally and with third-party service providers, is required.

Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision is essential.

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust delivers round-the-clock emergency medical services to individuals requiring urgent medical attention and transportation.
