About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Development Manager to join our team at Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS FT. As a key member of our Professional Development team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of our clinical students and ensuring the smooth operation of our administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the processes that underpin the Professional Development agenda relating to pre and post-registration clinical students and apprentices.
  • Ensure that accurate placement mapping, allocations, and student placement activity information is translated into appropriate monthly reports.
  • Coordinate the BCHC, Higher Education Institutions, Further Education Institutions, and NHS England reporting processes.
  • Manage the coordination and administrative responsibilities for functions such as seminars, conferences, workshops, clinical student forums, induction, and feedback/debrief sessions.
Requirements
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent.
  • GCSE Maths & English or equivalent.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
  • Relevant experience of coordinating student activity.
  • Relevant experience of coordinating educational events.
  • Relevant experience of working with clinical educators.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Ability to handle sensitive and complex information.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • High level of IT Literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • High level of negotiating and influencing skills.
Personal Qualities
  • Confident communicator.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence.
  • Ability to motivate self.
