Clinical Apprenticeship Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Apprenticeship Manager to join our Professional Development team at Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS FT. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the clinical student apprenticeship agenda, ensuring that all clinical apprenticeship students are supported and receive appropriate clinical placements in line with NMC and HCPC regulatory requirements.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage the clinical student apprenticeship recruitment processes, ensuring the recruitment of high-calibre healthcare apprentice students, utilising and adhering to the appropriate internal and external processes and governance requirements.
- Work in partnership with Higher Education Institutions to ensure the recruitment of the appropriate healthcare apprentice students.
- Manage the clinical apprenticeship placement capacity processes, ensuring the appropriate liaison with the Higher Education Institutions, Clinical Managers, Clinical Team Leaders, Practice Assessors, Practice Supervisors, Clinical Educators, and Administrators.
- Provide support for clinical apprenticeship students, and Practice Assessors and Clinical Educators, on an individual or group basis to resolve difficulties with assessments and assist with individual action planning where necessary.

Requirements
- Registered clinician
- Relevant experience of working with clinical apprenticeship students, Practice Assessors, and Clinical Educators across Nursing and Allied Healthcare Professions
- Relevant experience of clinical placement management
- Relevant experience of working with Higher Education Institutions
- Relevant experience of managing and developing appropriate clinical apprenticeship student databases
- Ability to handle sensitive and complex information
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- High level of IT literacy to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work autonomously
- High level of negotiating and influencing skills
