Job Title: Community Support Specialist at East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership

East Ayrshire Council prioritizes its workforce and community well-being.

The East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership (EAHSCP) is excited to announce a significant recruitment initiative aimed at enhancing the support provided to adults and elderly individuals in the area. This is a unique opportunity to become part of EAHSCP during a pivotal transformation phase.

  • The council has achieved zero delayed discharges and is now focusing on early intervention, prevention, and long-term support for individuals in their homes.
  • The formation of Multidisciplinary Teams is in progress to ensure the delivery of exceptional care and to foster independence.

To align with these objectives, EAHSCP is on the lookout for dedicated and innovative Community Support Specialists to reinforce its Locality Health & Care teams across various regions of East Ayrshire.

  • Successful candidates will be instrumental in protecting and improving the welfare of vulnerable adults within the community.
  • Collaboration with external agencies and partner organizations will be essential in achieving favorable outcomes for individuals.

Requirements:

As part of regulated employment, successful candidates must undergo checks in accordance with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act.

Responsibilities:

Adherence to national recruitment guidelines, with a strong emphasis on safer recruitment practices.

The Individual:

  • Full-time permanent positions available across Locality Health & Care.
  • Flexible working arrangements involving a mix of office and various work locations.
  • Administrative base located at the Johnnie Walker Bond, Kilmarnock.

Working hours: Mon-Thur 9am-5pm, Fri 9am-4pm

Annual Salary £41, - £44, inclusive of a 5% market forces payment. (Pro Rata for part-time)
