About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiographer to join our Paediatric Imaging team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Paediatric Radiographer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality imaging services to our young patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert imaging services for children and young people, using a range of radiography equipment including plain film and fluoroscopy.
  • Develop and maintain excellent knowledge of paediatric pathology and clinical presentation to ensure accurate imaging examinations.
  • Liaise with Paediatric Consultant Radiologists and Advanced Practitioners to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide a safe and effective working environment.
  • Ensure adherence to Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IR(ME)R) 2017 and Ionising Radiation Regulations (IRR) 2017, MRHA MRI safety guidelines and the Trust's policies, protocols and guidelines.
  • Effectively use hospital software to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Participate in the 24/7 rota, including core hours and additional shifts at the Royal Sussex County Hospital.
