Enrollment Services Advisor

Position Title: Enrollment Services Advisor at Commonwealth of Virginia
The Enrollment Services Advisor will report to the Director of Recruitment.
- Conduct personalized follow-ups through phone calls, letters, and in-person meetings with prospective students, facilitating campus visits.
- Collaborate with Alumni Relations and academic departments on various recruitment initiatives.
- Assist in gathering data, compiling reports, conducting research, and planning related to the institution's student recruitment and admissions programs.
- Support the creation of materials aimed at enhancing student recruitment efforts.
- Help evaluate academic transcripts for all applicants.
- Make admissions decisions in accordance with established guidelines and protocols.
- Represent the institution with professionalism at recruitment events, both locally and out-of-state, often requiring weekend travel.
- Input student information into the institutional database.
- Engage with community organizations, churches, and other agencies to attract potential students.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Associate Director of Recruitment.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in counseling, education, sociology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in enrollment management.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, presenting information clearly and concisely.
- Exhibit professionalism and maintain a polished appearance.
- Strong knowledge of counseling and guidance strategies in student recruitment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, parents, and professionals from external organizations.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Ability to communicate with a diverse audience, with a strong commitment to diversity.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
