Enrollment Advisor

Position Title: Enrollment Advisor at Commonwealth of Virginia
The Enrollment Advisor will report directly to the Director of Recruitment.
- Conduct follow-up communications through personal meetings, phone calls, and written correspondence with prospective students, while coordinating campus visits for interested candidates.
- Collaborate with Alumni Relations and academic departments on various outreach initiatives.
- Assist in gathering data, compiling reports, conducting research, and planning related to the University's student recruitment and admissions strategy.
- Support the development of materials aimed at enhancing student recruitment efforts.
- Help evaluate academic transcripts for all applicants.
- Make admissions decisions in accordance with established guidelines and protocols.
- Represent the University with professionalism at recruitment events, both locally and out-of-state, often requiring weekend travel.
- Input student information into the database system.
- Engage with community organizations, churches, and other agencies to attract potential students to the University.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Associate Director of Recruitment.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in counseling, education, sociology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in enrollment management.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats, presenting information clearly and concisely.
- Exhibit professionalism and maintain a polished appearance.
- Strong knowledge of counseling and guidance strategies in student recruitment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, parents, and professionals from external organizations.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with a diverse audience, with a strong commitment to diversity.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
