Data Migration Specialist

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Data Migration Lead to join our team in Mansfield. As a key member of our technical implementation team, you will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and monitoring of data migration projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

- Work closely with project managers to ensure awareness of potential data migration resource constraints.
- Lead client data migration calls to ensure tasks are completed.
- Provide weekly highlight reports for internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define migration strategies.
- Conduct thorough data analysis to identify quality issues, anomalies, and inconsistencies, and develop strategies to address them.
- Design and implement data mapping, transformation, and validation processes to ensure accurate and complete migration of LIMS and pathology data.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including migration plans, data mapping specifications, and standard operating procedures.
- Perform testing and validation of migrated data to ensure integrity, reliability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide training and support to end-users to facilitate adoption of new systems and processes.
- Develop business and functional requirements, and functional design specifications with product SMEs.
- Proactively identify, manage, or escalate risks and issues, developing options for remediation or mitigation.
- Work with cross-functional client teams to ensure requirements, functional, and design specifications are understood and accepted.
- Manage multiple concurrent responsibilities and deliverables in agreed timeframes and costs.
- Assist with pre-sales activities, including responding to tenders and product demonstrations.
- Assist with procurement and implementation of infrastructure as required.
- Extensive experience in a similar position in health technology.
- Strong understanding of data migration methodology.
- Relevant bachelor's degree qualifications.
- Strong understanding of software development processes and best practice.
- Experience leading successful data migration roles from a trust perspective.
- Understanding of NHS datasets and their use.
