Job Summary:

Menzies Distribution Limited is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team in the CRU Returns department. As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of customer stock.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cooperate fully with the site's safety requirements and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Receive and process deliveries of customer stock from trailers, verifying quantities and recording receipt.
  • Pick and pack customer orders to meet agreed turn-round targets, dispatching orders with accurate paperwork.
  • Load trailers with customer goods in a timely manner, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Put away customer goods from the warehouse floor into the racking system, maintaining stock integrity and quality.
  • Perform manual handling of products, adhering to company guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Sign for and accept responsibility for tasks completed, ensuring accountability and transparency.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment, including shelf dusting, gangway clearance, and litter removal.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and team working skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • A professional manner and attitude, with a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse environment, with knowledge of inventory management principles.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and overtime as required.
  • MHE – Articulated/Counterbalance/PPT licenses are highly desirable.
