Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team at Search. As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, working closely with our logistics and supply chain teams to meet customer demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate mechanical handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to move goods and materials within the warehouse.
  • Pick and pack goods using voice pick technology, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in order fulfillment.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Prepare goods for despatch to customers, including packaging and labeling.
  • Perform manual handling tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy loads, to move goods and materials within the warehouse.
  • Operate handheld scanning systems to track inventory and monitor warehouse activity.
  • Participate in general warehouse duties, including housekeeping and maintenance tasks.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a warehouse and distribution role, or transferable skills.
  • A solid work history, with a proven track record of reliability and attendance.
  • An enthusiastic and can-do attitude, with a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy required in order fulfillment and inventory management.
  • A degree of physical fitness, with the ability to lift and carry heavy loads.
