Job Summary

Multi-Skilled Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our Maintenance Team at Imerys. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing mechanical and electrical expertise to maximize plant and equipment availability.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance tasks
  • Conduct fault finding, diagnostic, and installation work
  • Calibrate and diagnose faults on instrumentation systems
  • Carry out risk assessments and ensure all work areas are clean and free from hazards
  • Order site spares
  • Work from height and in confined spaces

Key Requirements

  • Background in a production or heavy industrial environment with mechanical and electrical experience of fixed processing plant and equipment
  • Experience working with pumps, welding, mills, burners/furnaces/gas, intrusive chemical work, and centrifuges
  • Apprenticeship in mechanical/electrical engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Strong HSE ethos
  • Proficient in the use of IT
  • Legally able to drive in the UK
