Multi-Skilled Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our Maintenance Team at Imerys' Herreschoff Kiln site in Devon.

About the Role

As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for providing mechanical and electrical knowledge and skills to maximise plant and equipment availability. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out routine preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance
  • Fault finding, diagnostic, and installation work
  • Calibrating and diagnosing faults on instrumentation systems
  • Carrying out risk assessments and ensuring all work areas are clean and free from hazards
  • Ordering site spares
  • Working from height and in confined spaces

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A background from within a production/heavy industrial environment with mechanical and electrical experience of fixed processing plant and equipment
  • Experience of working with/on pumps, welding, mills, burners/furnaces/gas, intrusive chemical work, and centrifuges
  • An apprenticeship in mechanical/electrical engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • A strong HSE ethos
  • Proficiency in the use of IT
  • The ability to legally drive in the UK
