Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a motor claims specialist with a diverse skill set and experience in managing third-party claims related to bodily injury, property damage, and optionally, credit hire claims.

The successful candidate will actively assist the department in delivering a customer-centric, cost-effective claims handling service through a proactive approach that prioritizes customer service while adhering to regulatory standards.

This role involves direct client interaction and requires thorough coverage, legal liability, and quantum analysis, as well as collaboration with brokers, insured parties, external service providers, and internal stakeholders.

  • Investigate and manage all claims within the authority limits, adhering to company standards and procedures while ensuring accurate and timely reserving.
  • Proactively engage with claimants and their representatives to secure the best possible outcomes.
  • Contribute to meeting the Department's Key Performance Targets and achieving personal objectives.

Qualifications for Success

  • Demonstrated experience in handling third-party motor claims, including personal injury and property damage claims, with a preference for knowledge of credit hire claims.
  • Strong understanding of the complete claims process and familiarity with claims systems, including MOJ and OIC portals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for managing diverse stakeholders such as customers, panel lawyers, and brokers.
  • In-depth knowledge of the legal and regulatory landscape governing motor claims.
