We are looking for a committed professional to take on the role of Electrical Operations Supervisor at HMP Woodhill, a high-security male correctional facility.

HMP Woodhill functions as a self-sufficient community, requiring a multitude of personnel to maintain its operations. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, your contributions will be vital, influencing the safety and well-being of every inmate, staff member, and visitor, as well as their families and the broader community.

In your role as Electrical Operations Supervisor, you will collaborate with a diverse group of skilled professionals, including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrative staff, all dedicated to enhancing safety and security.

We are a Ministry of Justice enterprise with five years of service, providing essential and timely support to HMPPS. We seek an Electrical Operations Supervisor with a blend of the following qualifications:

  • At least five years of experience as an Electrician, preferably in a Facilities Management or secure environment, such as military or healthcare sectors.
  • Relevant qualifications equivalent to C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations.
  • Proven experience in commercial or industrial electrical systems and building services.
  • Previous leadership experience overseeing teams of Electricians and General Maintenance personnel, with operational responsibility for electrical service delivery.
  • Certification in BS7671 - The Requirements for Electrical Installations, 17th or 18th edition.
  • Comprehensive understanding of risk management and compliance, along with demonstrated planning and project management capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
