Job Title: Customs Brokerage Lead Agent

At Expeditors, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customs Brokerage Lead Agent to join our team. As a key member of our Customs Brokerage Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and timely movement of freight while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Manager and Supervisor with all aspects of the Customs brokerage Department.
  • Ensure the proper and timely clearance process flow.
  • Monitor shipment reports to ensure total customer satisfaction.
  • Support the Supervisor in allocating workloads and monitoring workboards to ensure internal KPI's are met.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and governmental Customs organizations.
  • Assist in retention calls and complete customer reviews with regular customers.
  • Monitor customs refunds by customs authorities utilizing BNP report where needed.

Requirements:
  • Good knowledge of customs brokerage process, customs legislation, and classification, valuation, and origin.
  • Understanding of ocean, road, and air documentation process.

  • Strong organizational and computer skills, including MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Fluent in English.
