Right Now Group is partnering with a leading Global Forwarder based in Birmingham to grow their Customs Brokerage Team. They are seeking an accomplished Senior Customs Brokerage Clerk to join their unit in Birmingham.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supervising Customs Brokerage teams, with at least 5 years of Freight Forwarding experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the overall brokerage commercial strategy, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Create a suite of standard brokerage products, marketing materials, and pricing models.
  • Collaborate with Key Account Directors and Business Development teams to drive new opportunities.
  • Support all brokerage-related opportunities and pipeline development.
  • Present monthly updates to the Board, highlighting key statistics, opportunities, and strategic recommendations.
  • Attend customer visits to develop relationships, gain insights, and generate opportunities.
  • Act as the primary point of escalation for complex operational issues, providing guidance and solutions.
  • Conduct regular audits of customer processes to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Support the onboarding of new business in alignment with account owners and the onboarding team.
  • Support and lead the review of internal and customer SOPs.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Customs Brokerage or Freight Forwarding.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience dealing with SOP reviews.
  • Capable of working independently and presenting to Board Members.
  • Attention to detail.

Salary: £35,000 - £50,000
Location: Birmingham
Shift: Mon-Fri 8:30am - 5pm
