About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our rapidly expanding sales team at Ecotricity, Britain's greenest energy company.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for expanding our Third Party Intermediary channel and driving new business growth.

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy to expand our TPI channel in line with forecasted growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new TPIs, including energy consultants, brokers, and other intermediaries.
  • Collaborate with credit and finance departments, operational teams, and customer service teams to ensure effective account management and customer service.
  • Influence the wider B2B sales strategy, focusing on maximising sales efficiencies and introducing new products and services to meet overall B2B plan.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify new and existing opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with ability to communicate at a senior level.
  • Analytical ability to assess and interpret data and identify opportunities.
  • Ability to develop relationships at a senior level and leverage added value from them.
  • High level of numeracy and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to set clear agendas and control external meetings with clients.
  • Excellent time management and personal organisational skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and contribute to the overall B2B Sales strategy.
  • Strong networking and relationship building skills – both externally and internally.
  • Self-driven and results-oriented.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
