About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Operating Department Practitioner to lead our orthopaedic theatre team at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our theatres, providing exceptional patient care, and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the orthopaedic theatre team and ensure the day-to-day operation reflects the highest standards of governance, clinical effectiveness, and patient care.
  • Provide professional leadership and direction to the team, ensuring effective theatre utilisation and minimizing delays.
  • Develop and implement protocols and guidelines to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Theatre Clinical Manager to ensure the effective management of the operating theatres.
  • Participate in the on-call rota for Central Middlesex Hospital Theatres.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with Theatre Course and Registered ODP.
  • Extensive experience as a Band 6 Scrub Team Leader and knowledge of elective Orthopaedic Scrub procedures.
  • High level of organisational skill, demonstrable teaching and facilitation skill, and IT skill in using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
