Theatre Operations Manager

Job Summary:
The London North West Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scrub Lead Practitioner to join our Orthopaedic Theatre team. As a key member of the theatre team, you will be responsible for the operational management of designated elective orthopaedic theatres, ensuring seamless and efficient patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational management of designated elective orthopaedic theatres, including budgetary awareness, clinical governance, and staff development and training.
- Collaboration with the Theatre Clinical Manager to ensure effective theatre utilisation, minimizing delays and maintaining throughput.
- Providing professional leadership within the clinical area, inspiring and directing the multi-disciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Development of protocols, guidelines, and patient information to enhance patient experience and outcomes.
- Participation in the on-call rota for CMH Theatres, ensuring continuity of care and support.
Person Specification:
- Registered Nurse with Theatre Course
- Registered ODP
- Extensive experience as Band 6 Scrub Team Leader
- Extensive knowledge of elective Orthopaedic Scrub procedures
Desirable Criteria:
- Management of instrument and implant loan
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Change management skill
- People management Skill
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- High level of organisational skill
- Demonstrable teaching and facilitation skill in practice development
- IT skill in using Power point, Word and Excel package
