We are seeking a highly skilled Theatre Technician to join our team at the National Theatre. As a key member of our touring production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our shows on the road.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Technical Stage Manager in planning and executing the technical aspects of the production.
  • Set up and operate technical equipment, including sound plots, to ensure high-quality performances.
  • Work with the Company Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager to unload and load the van, and set up and strike the set, props, and costumes.
  • Ensure all work carried out on school sites adheres to the highest Health & Safety standards.
  • Contribute to the upkeep and maintenance of the set, props, and technical equipment on tour.
  • Support the stage management team in planning movements of the van and coordinating logistics.
Requirements
  • Experience of touring theatre in a similar role.
  • Demonstrable record of delivering professional productions at the highest artistic and technical level.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving and solution-finding skills.
  • Awareness of current Health & Safety legislation.
