About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Theatre Nurse to join our team at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. As a Theatre Nurse Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of Scrub Practitioners to facilitate the smooth running of the Elective Orthopaedic lists.

Main Responsibilities

  • Organize and deliver theatre care in the peri-operative setting
  • Act as a scrub team leader, overseeing smooth running lists
  • Be responsible for an identified group of staff, developing, training, monitoring, and documenting the development of their clinical skills
  • Establish, lead, and maintain high standards of pre/peri and postoperative care
  • Contribute positively towards the delivery of a cost-effective service, adjusting staffing levels to meet demand and assisting the clinical co-ordinators to keep within agreed resources

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse or registered ODP
  • Teaching and Supervision qualification
  • Extensive experience in theatre scrub and team lead in orthopaedic theatre
  • Evidence of continuous Professional Development
  • Teaching and assessment experience
