Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Theatre Nurse Team Leader at the North West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre. As a key member of our theatre team, you will be responsible for leading a team of scrub practitioners to ensure the smooth running of elective orthopaedic lists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a scrub team leader, organizing and overseeing the smooth running of lists
  • Be responsible for an identified group of staff, developing, training, monitoring, and documenting the development of their clinical skills
  • Establish, lead, and maintain high standards of pre/peri and postoperative care
  • Contribute positively towards the delivery of a cost-effective service, adjusting staffing levels to meet demand and assisting clinical coordinators to keep within agreed resources
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse or registered ODP
  • Teaching and Supervision qualification
  • Extensive experience in theatre scrub and team lead in orthopaedic theatre
  • Evidence of continuous Professional Development
  • Teaching and assessment experience
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • L6 or above academic level
  • Management training
  • Knowledge of current issues in operating theatre
  • Knowledge of people management
