Senior Nuclear Compliance Manager

Position Summary:
As the Senior Nuclear Compliance Manager, you will oversee and direct all facets of nuclear compliance for the Sizewell C project. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure adherence to all relevant nuclear regulations, safety protocols, and environmental standards. This position demands extensive knowledge of nuclear legislation, exceptional leadership capabilities, and the aptitude to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a thorough nuclear compliance strategy for Sizewell C.
- Ensure alignment with all nuclear regulatory mandates, including those from the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) and the Environment Agency.
- Lead and mentor the compliance team, offering guidance and opportunities for professional growth.
- Conduct routine audits and evaluations to assess compliance and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
- Engage with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other external parties to ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
- Provide expert counsel on nuclear compliance issues to senior leadership and project teams.
- Prepare and submit compliance documentation to regulatory bodies as required.
- Investigate and address any compliance-related incidents, implementing corrective measures as necessary.
- Stay informed about updates in nuclear regulations and industry standards to maintain project compliance.
- Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in nuclear compliance, regulatory affairs, or a similar field.
- Comprehensive understanding of nuclear regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Proven track record in leading and managing compliance teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
