Position Summary

In the role of Senior Nuclear Compliance Manager, you will take charge of overseeing and directing all facets of nuclear compliance for the Sizewell C project. Your primary responsibility will be to guarantee adherence to all relevant nuclear regulations, safety protocols, and environmental standards. This position demands a profound understanding of nuclear legislation, exceptional leadership capabilities, and the aptitude to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate, execute, and sustain a robust nuclear compliance framework for Sizewell C.
  • Ensure alignment with all nuclear regulatory mandates, including those stipulated by the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) and the Environment Agency.
  • Lead and mentor the compliance team, offering guidance, support, and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Conduct periodic audits and evaluations to assess compliance and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Engage with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other external entities to ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Provide expert counsel on nuclear compliance issues to senior leadership and project teams.
  • Prepare and submit compliance documentation to regulatory bodies as necessary.
  • Investigate and address any compliance challenges or incidents, implementing corrective measures as required.
  • Stay informed about updates in nuclear regulations and industry standards, ensuring ongoing compliance for the project.
  • Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in nuclear compliance, regulatory affairs, or a comparable field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of nuclear regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
  • Proven track record in leading and managing compliance teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
