Position Overview
We are seeking a Band 7 Clinical Team Supervisor to oversee the Integrated Care Mental Health Team, focusing on Mental Health Services for Older Adults.
In this role, you will serve as the lead clinician, managing a diverse group of professionals, including mental health nurses, occupational therapists, and healthcare support staff, within a collaborative multi-disciplinary environment. Your responsibilities will encompass supervision, leadership, and the advancement of services within the team. You will maintain a clinical caseload, delivering thorough mental health assessments and interventions for individuals over 18 years old who are dealing with long-term physical health challenges alongside mental health concerns.
Our integrated team comprises GPs, Clinical Leads, and District Nurses, emphasizing a multi-disciplinary approach to provide comprehensive care. As the team leader, you will be expected to demonstrate adaptability and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. Proficiency in mental health assessment and intervention is essential, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities
The team collaborates closely with Social Services, the voluntary sector, and secondary mental health care providers. You will be expected to offer educational sessions regarding mental health topics to other staff members. We prioritize supervision, training, and regular performance evaluations, which you will both receive and provide to your team.
Exceptional communication and organizational skills are crucial, along with a proven track record in team leadership and management. A valid driver's license and the ability to utilize your vehicle for work purposes are required.
