Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Clinical Research Nurse to join our Band 7 team on Children's Intensive Care at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

About the Role

The post holder will be required to work across the Children's Intensive Care Unit (CICU) and the East Midlands Congenital Heart Centre (EMCHC), providing clinical care and managerial cover. You will be an expert clinical practitioner in the field, with a strong background in PICU and HDU care. You should be positive and adaptable to a changing environment, with a commitment to quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care to patients on CICU and EMCHC
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Provide managerial cover and support to the team
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Registered Children's Nurse or NMC registered with appropriate experience in the specialty
  • Post registration qualifications in PICU and HDU care
  • Degree level education in health-related sciences
  • Recognised NMC teaching and assessing qualification
  • Advanced Paediatric Life Support Certification
