Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our PIER Team at the Merlyn Vaz Centre in Leicester. This Band 7/8a preceptorship post offers a unique opportunity to work with adults experiencing a first episode of psychosis, providing evidence-based psychological interventions and contributing to the development of a trauma-informed psychosis pathway.
Main Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality psychological therapies to individuals and families affected by psychosis, working within a multi-professional framework and receiving clinical supervision and line management from a senior psychologist.
- Hold a caseload and develop expertise in delivering evidence-based interventions, including family therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
- Contribute to the development of teaching and training programs, both within the team and across the psychosis pathway, to enhance the skills of colleagues and promote best practice.
- Collaborate with senior colleagues to ensure the provision of high-quality, responsive psychological therapies that meet national standards and contribute to the development of a psychologically informed service-wide psychosis pathway.
- Provide supervision and mentorship to peers and other members of the multidisciplinary team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
