Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with local trade union representatives to achieve business goals.
  • Communicate people-related initiatives and strategy to the site workforce effectively.
  • Deliver training for all people managers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Advise managers on the terms and conditions of employment, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Drive compliance against people KPIs, such as absence and turnover, to track and determine progress in addressing gaps.
  • Collate and analyze HR data to develop insights, generating reports for business use.
  • Deliver an engagement and wellbeing agenda, tracking progress against engagement action plans.
  • Drive improvement in diversity and inclusion, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Enhance the candidate experience from recruitment through to onboarding, playing an active role in new starter inductions.
Requirements:
  • CIPD qualified
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a business partner/matrix structure
  • Experience working with trade unions and promoting cohesion within the HR team
  • Resilience, great influencing and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, respect, and openness
