About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Executive Chef to lead and manage all aspects of our kitchen operations at Farbridge, a high-end wedding and events barn. As the Head of Culinary Operations, you will oversee all food production, sourcing, ordering, and handling of produce and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain relationships with produce suppliers to ensure the highest quality ingredients.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of kitchen staff to deliver exceptional food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Develop and implement kitchen budgets, including food costs, staffing, and waste reduction.
  • Create and design bespoke menus for clients, reflecting the Farbridge brand and your culinary vision.
  • Collaborate with the events team to deliver outstanding dining experiences for clients.

Requirements

  • Proven knowledge and experience as a Senior Sous Chef or Head Chef from an events venue or event catering background.
  • Strong leadership skills to train, mentor, and manage a team of growing chefs.
  • Confident, creative, and imaginative flair to guide customers in creating their own menus.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills for ordering, team rotas, menu costing, stock takes, food preparation, and storage.
  • High standards and expectations concerning food hygiene standards and safety guidelines in the kitchen.

Farbridge is a high-end wedding and events barn located in a beautiful setting. We pride ourselves on using the freshest ingredients, cooking, and serving restaurant-quality dishes. Our menus are seasonal, and we strive to make as much as we can from scratch, from breads to pastries, pickles, and ferment.
