Position Overview: We are in search of a Band 6 Lead Palliative Care Nurse to become a vital part of our Charity funded Inpatient Hospice. This position is perfect for a seasoned Palliative Care Nurse with a background in either hospice or hospital settings, who has experience in mentoring and training junior nursing staff.

About the Hospice: Nestled in a serene environment, our facility is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of palliative care for individuals facing cancer, HIV, and other critical illnesses. The hospice features a 15-bedded inpatient unit, a Day Centre, and a dedicated community team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering clinical leadership to a designated nursing team.
  • Ensuring exceptional standards of nursing care through evidence-based methodologies.
  • Serving as a role model and expert clinical practitioner.
  • Assisting in the management of departmental operations within allocated resources.
  • Coordinating services provided by the inpatient unit.
