About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Assistant Chef to join our team at HC-One. As an Assistant Chef, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional culinary care to our residents, ensuring that every meal is a delightful experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the First Chef in the kitchen, taking charge in their absence to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation.
  • Prepare and cook nutritious, healthy meals that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
  • Manage food stock, budget, and kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide outstanding support to colleagues, including coaching and supervising the kitchen team.
  • Ensure the highest standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained at all times.
Requirements
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Excellent understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)
  • Brilliant, positive energy and natural ability to get along with people
  • Organized and able to meet deadlines
  • Present food attractively and follow recipes perfectly
  • Considerate and kind in all interactions with residents and colleagues
