Become an Uber Driver
Uber is a flexible earning opportunity that allows you to work on your own schedule. As an Uber driver, you can choose when and how much you want to drive, making it a great alternative to traditional full-time or part-time jobs.
Why Drive with Uber?- Receive Your Earnings Fast: With Uber, you can get paid up to 5 times a day, giving you more control over your finances.
- Minimum Earnings Guaranteed: Earn at least the National Living Wage, ensuring you get a fair income for your work.
- Access to Sickness Cover or a "New Parent" Payment: Our Allianz insurance scheme provides protection from life-changing events, giving you peace of mind.
- Save for Your Future: You'll have access to a pension plan that includes contributions from you and Uber, helping you plan for your retirement.
- Receive Holiday Pay: Get an additional 12.07% of your earnings each week, making it easier to plan some downtime.
- You're Your Own Boss: Decide how much or little you want to drive and earn, giving you the flexibility to balance work and life.
- A Valid UK Driver's Licence: You'll need a valid UK driver's licence (EU driver's licence needs to be converted to UK driver's licence before onboarding).
- A Private Hire Licence: You'll need a private hire licence from a licensing authority such as a council. If you don't have one, we'll help you get started with a personalised Ignition appointment.
- Be at Least 21 Years of Age: You'll need to be at least 21 years of age to apply for your private hire licence, as required by the UK government.
- Driver Profile Photo: You'll need to take a driver profile photo at our Greenlight Hub.
- Complete the EduMe Course: You'll need to complete the EduMe Course, a virtual onboarding course that helps you familiarise with the Uber app and its features.
- Required Years of Driving Experience: The required years of driving experience will vary depending on the city you're based in.
If you have previous employment experience in transportation, you might also consider driving with Uber to earn extra money. We welcome drivers who have worked with other peer-to-peer ridesharing or driving networks. Driving with Uber is a great way to supplement your part-time or full-time income.
We'll help you get started and provide support along the way. Signing up only takes a few minutes, and we'll get you on the road as soon as your registration is processed.
