At Whitmore Vale, we offer services to people with learning disabilities and we work alongside them to achieve the most out of their life. Through supported living and residential care we can meet a wide range of needs, supporting people with a mild learning disability, to those who have profound and complex disabilities.

We work closely with all our volunteers to provide opportunities that they are passionate about - whether it's working face-to-face with the people we support, providing transport or furthering your admin skills, we want to hear from you

- Providing emotional support to our residents - sometimes they just need someone to chat to over a cuppa
- Driving residents in company vehicles so they can access the community (drivers will need to undergo a licence check and will be put on company insurance)
- Admin support in our head office

**What we look for in a volunteer**:

- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Be reliable and punctual
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
- A passion for working with people

**Requirements**:

- All volunteers will be required to undergo a DBS check and attend induction and mandatory trainings
- We are unable to accept applicants under the age of 18 due to safeguarding and insurance.

As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the community while gaining valuable skills and experience. You will be part of a dedicated team working towards a common goal. This is an unpaid position, but the rewards of giving back are immeasurable.
