The Project Manager serves as the primary liaison for all client project interactions, effectively managing safety, commercial, and reputational risks while collaborating productively with both internal and external stakeholders to optimize project resources, ensure technical integrity, enhance operational efficiency, maintain quality assurance, and achieve successful project outcomes.

This role carries full accountability for profit and loss, safety, quality, and performance metrics related to the project. The Project Manager will implement and execute all principles and actions associated with effective project management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to established Company Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHS&E) Management Systems, remaining cognizant of health and safety responsibilities for oneself and others.
  • Act as the primary contact for all client project interactions throughout the contract duration, fostering regular communication and positive relationships with clients.
  • Engage in the tendering and proposal processes to leverage a comprehensive knowledge base for assessing and fulfilling customer needs and market conditions.
  • Assist in the concluding stages of contract negotiations for familiarization, evaluating resource needs, and coordinating internal allocation or external procurement.
  • Champion all facets of service quality and technical delivery, managing assigned projects to ensure proper control throughout all execution phases, adherence to project budgets, effective resource scheduling, and fulfillment of client expectations.
  • Prepare all project deliverables, including project-related documents (schedules, procedures, plans, etc.) and financial reports (revenue/expenditure profiles and cash flows).
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate, statutory, and local health, safety, and environmental policies and processes, along with any client-specific requirements.
  • Provide visible and proactive health, safety, and environmental leadership, ensuring adherence to incident reporting, risk assessment, and safe working methods.
  • Monitor project performance closely, establishing appropriate controls for efficient review and reporting, identifying and managing risks, and ensuring operational performance aligns with agreed timelines while taking corrective actions as necessary to meet budgetary, contractual, and scheduling obligations.
  • Oversee all financial aspects of the project, including the establishment of systems for regular cost reviews, invoicing, and cash collection, serving as the principal driver for timely sales invoicing and stringent debt collection to achieve cash flow objectives.
  • Be knowledgeable about and responsible for the contractual elements of service management and execution, ensuring client expectations are met and services/equipment are delivered in compliance with contract obligations within agreed timelines, addressing any issues or omissions promptly.
  • Lead a multi-functional project team, ensuring that project requirements and timelines are fully understood and met by all supporting functions, including resource planning, equipment preparation and mobilization, applications engineering, in-field operations, data analysis, customer reporting, purchasing, and project accounting.
  • Identify business opportunities with existing and potential clients, developing these opportunities in collaboration with the Commercial department.
  • Communicate and report on project status, events, issues, and developments to senior management and/or clients regularly and in a timely manner.
  • Effectively collaborate and communicate with relevant departments to ensure timely and effective support for each project.
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of technical and business processes.
  • Support the Project Management team, including direct assistance in managing and coordinating resources to align with departmental and organizational priorities.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated advanced negotiation, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage with customers, suppliers, and colleagues in a complex organizational environment.
  • In-depth understanding of internal and external economic factors, including costs, margins, and the profit impact of decisions affecting company results, along with strong business acumen.
  • Proficient report writing, presentation skills, strong organizational abilities, and project planning expertise.
  • Experience in Project Management within the subsea sector.
  • AMP or a similar qualification is preferred.
