Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and keen Assistant Psychologist to join our Acute and Rehabilitation Directorate in NELFT. The post is on a fixed-term basis for 18 months and will involve working as part of our crisis services pathway either Inpatient or Home Treatment Teams.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience and/or strong interest in working within crisis, multi-disciplinary environments and in providing psychosocial interventions to people in crisis.
  • Assist in the delivery of low-intensity psychological interventions, including groups, to individuals with mental health difficulties.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Person Specification
  • Essential criteria:
    • First Degree in Psychology with graduate basis for registration.
    • 6 months experience working in healthcare settings.
  • Desirable criteria:
    • Additional study/knowledge relevant to mental health difficulties.
    • Inpatient experience.
