Job Opportunity: Assistant Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Assistant Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the Suffolk Young Adult Mental Health Service (YAMHS). As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality psychological support to young people aged 18-25 experiencing moderate to severe mental health disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the overall psychological care and treatment of young adults within the service.
  • Provide psychological assessment, formulation, and interventions under the supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist.
  • Deliver brief psychological interventions under supervision.
  • Support the qualified Clinical Psychologist in the development and delivery of workshops and training packages.
  • Participate in audit, research, service evaluation, and project activities.
Requirements:
  • BPS accredited degree in Psychology.
  • Experience of qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Experience of research in the NHS.
  • Knowledge of mental health and psychology applied to healthcare.
  • Ability to communicate sensitive information to patients and colleagues.
