Youth Support Specialist / Early Intervention Specialist

Overview:

Hatched Recruitment Group is collaborating with local authorities to seek a dedicated Youth Support Specialist / Early Intervention Specialist. This role is ideal for professionals interested in a temporary engagement focused on youth support and intervention.

Role Purpose:

The Youth Support Specialist will work within a program aimed at preventing young individuals from entering the justice system. The focus will be on early intervention, providing support, and offering guidance to tackle the underlying issues that may lead to criminal behavior, ultimately fostering positive outcomes for vulnerable youth.

Key Responsibilities:

Assessment and Risk Identification:
Conduct thorough evaluations to identify young individuals at risk of engaging in criminal activities.
Utilize assessment tools and collaborate with educational institutions, social services, and community organizations to detect early indicators of potential delinquency.

Creating Support Plans:
Develop tailored support plans based on assessment results.
Customize interventions to address specific challenges such as family dynamics, educational barriers, mental health issues, or substance misuse.

Providing Guidance and Support:
Facilitate individual and group support sessions for at-risk youth.
Offer guidance on conflict resolution, emotional management, and decision-making skills.
Involve families and caregivers in the support process to create a nurturing home environment.

Community Collaboration:
Engage with local resources and organizations to enhance support and opportunities for youth.
Encourage participation in positive activities and community initiatives to mitigate the risk of offending.

Education and Outreach:
Inform at-risk youth about the repercussions of criminal behavior and the advantages of pursuing a constructive path.
Raise awareness within the community regarding the significance of early intervention and support.
