Job Title: Data Governance Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Analyst to join our Insurance Money and Services team. As a Data Governance Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering data quality assurance for our Insurance and Money Services team, which operates in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Governance: Collect business requirements for Data Governance activities using a variety of methods such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis to express Data Governance requirements in terms of target user roles and goals.
  • Data Quality: Make recommendations to improve data quality through systems and platforms.
  • Strategy Development: Contribute and support continuous improvement and refinement of the Data Governance strategy.
  • Quality Assurance: Help to implement quality assurance initiatives which make data more reliable across the business.
  • Tool Management: Manage and develop elements such as quality rules and business glossary entries on the Data Governance tool.
  • Validation: Validate new or existing quality test methods and procedures.
  • Project Management: Review the backlog of work for a project and work tasks through to completion either as part of a team or solo.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Assist with stakeholder engagement by supporting actions, meetings, events, and supporting materials such as data quality dashboards to enable stakeholder understanding and commitment to remediation actions.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Experience of using Data Governance specific tooling.
  • Skills: Demonstrate SQL, Excel, PowerBI and insight skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Data Governance Qualifications: DAMA or EDM Council or similar Data Governance qualifications.
