Job Description:

Lorien's leading public sector client is seeking a Senior Information Governance Specialist to support their programme on an initial 3-month contract. As a key member of the team, you will provide specialist advice and expertise in data protection, ensuring the lawful and secure processing of personal identifiable data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert practitioner support to the Technology Service in the development and delivery of the data programme, ensuring compliance with data protection legislative requirements.
  • Lead and direct the team in ensuring due diligence is undertaken to guarantee the secure processing of personal identifiable data in the delivery of the national programme.
  • Ensure that new software/technical solutions adhere to data protection legislative requirements, and associated risks are adequately mitigated.
  • Apply expert data protection knowledge in the drafting of accountability and governance documentation, including Data Protection Impact Assessments, Information Sharing Agreements, and Data Processing Agreements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in data protection and information governance.
  • Expertise in data protection legislative requirements.
  • Strong leadership and direction skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment.
