Role: Waste Education Coordinator

As the Waste Education Coordinator at FCC Environment, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing public understanding of the waste hierarchy within the community. Your efforts will focus on waste prevention, reduction, re-use, recycling, and composting, through the development of innovative educational programs and communication strategies targeting diverse community and educational groups.

This position is integral to our long-term partnership with local authorities, providing essential waste management services across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement educational initiatives focused on the waste hierarchy, creating engaging materials and resources tailored to specific audiences.
  • Design National Curriculum-aligned educational resources related to waste management and energy recovery.
  • Welcome visitors to our facilities, providing informative presentations using various visual aids.
  • Promote our facilities throughout the community, engaging with schools and organizations to maximize usage.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and stakeholders to integrate their needs into educational programs.
  • Prepare reports on educational initiatives and program effectiveness as required.
  • Ensure all work is completed within established timeframes and budgetary constraints.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
