About the Role

The Buckinghamshire Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Waste Management Specialist to join its Strategic Waste Management & Enforcement team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of various waste-related projects and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning and execution of waste management projects, including shaping the delivery of waste collection and disposal services to residents.
  • Work closely with the Waste Commissioning Team Leader, Lead Officers, and other Project Support team members to make key decisions on projects.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategies and policies related to waste management.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide proactive, innovative, and customer-focused solutions.
  • Assist in the delivery of capital projects, including infrastructure and construction projects.
Requirements
  • Excellent project coordination and management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Good understanding of waste management principles and practices.
  • Experience in supporting and delivering waste-related infrastructure and construction projects.
