About the Position

We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a skilled Construction Sub Agent to become part of our dynamic construction teams. This role is integral to our civil engineering projects, specifically focusing on highway development and infrastructure enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee a designated segment of the project, ensuring adherence to specific engineering disciplines.
  • Manage a team of Section Engineers and Site Engineers, guiding them in the design and execution of a new dual carriageway, including essential earthworks, drainage systems, access routes, structures, and utility installations.
  • Contribute to various projects across the region, particularly in civil engineering, highway construction, and major building initiatives.

  • Inspire and manage team performance, ensuring the development of team members through training and coaching.

Health, Safety & Environmental Management

  • Review and enhance Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  • Lead investigations into accidents and incidents.
  • Conduct trend analyses to identify areas for improvement.
  • Perform field audits to verify compliance with safety documentation.
  • Develop and implement necessary Permits to Work.

Engineering Oversight

  • Provide guidance and coaching to team members on technical requirements.
  • Assist in resolving construction challenges by leveraging industry best practices.

Quality Assurance

  • Oversee the entire process of producing and submitting Handover Documentation.
  • Implement systems to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Conduct independent inspections and site audits to ensure quality standards are met.

Commercial Management

  • Maintain accurate records of project activities and communications.
  • Develop and monitor project budgets and costs.
  • Engage in subcontractor procurement and management.

Productivity Enhancement

  • Create a fully resourced project schedule in the appropriate format.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and recommend improvements.
