Construction Sub Agent

About the Position
We are thrilled to present an opportunity for a skilled Construction Sub Agent to become a vital part of our teams in the infrastructure sector. This significant civil engineering project encompasses extensive roadway development and offers promising career advancement as the work unfolds.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a segment of the project, adhering to specific engineering disciplines. This includes managing a team of Section Engineers and Site Engineers dedicated to the construction of new dual carriageway, along with the associated earthworks, drainage systems, access routes, structures, and utilities.

Core Responsibilities

- Contribute to the delivery of sustainability initiatives.
- Inspire and manage team performance; assess the skills of team members and provide training and coaching as necessary.
Health, Safety & Environmental Management
- Review and enhance Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Lead investigations into accidents and incidents.
- Conduct trend analysis to identify areas for improvement.
- Perform field audits to ensure compliance with control documentation.
- Develop and implement Permits to Work, particularly for confined spaces and hot works.
Engineering Oversight
- Guide and mentor team members in technical requirements and setting out techniques.
- Assist in resolving construction challenges by leveraging experience and industry best practices.
Quality Assurance
- Oversee the entire process of producing, verifying, and submitting Handover Documentation.
- Implement systems to ensure construction adheres to specifications.
- Conduct independent inspections and site audits to verify compliance.
Commercial Management
- Maintain a detailed diary of activities and communications with external organizations.
- Develop budgets based on resource allocation and monitor weekly expenditures.
- Engage in subcontractor procurement and management.
Productivity Monitoring
- Create a fully resourced stage program in the appropriate format.
- Track and assess KPI compliance, recommending system improvements as needed.
